PCM Analysis
DMD has an independent asbestos laboratory on site dedicated to exceeding the expectations of our clients. DMD analyzes air samples for asbestos using Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) in accordance with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) 7400 Analytical Method. DMD is a participant in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program for PCM. DMD can also analyze PCM samples in the field which provides immediate results.

DMD’s on site Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) laboratory is rare since there are so few in the area. DMD analyzes bulk samples for asbestos using PLM in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) method 600/R-93/116 with dispersion staining. DMD is a participant in the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Bulk Asbestos Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program.
